Tell City, Indiana Harold W. "Pooch" Ward, 91, passed away July 13, 2019 at his home. He was born in Leopold, Indiana on April 10, 1928 to the late John and Dora (Howe) Ward. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Louise (Goffinet) Ward; daughter, Bonnie Marcinac; a son, Ronnie Ward; brothers, Jennings Ward and Porter Ward and half-brothers, Estil and Ellsworth Taylor. "Pooch" was a Marine Corp. veteran and was a truck driver for 40 years, retiring in 1987 from A & H Trucking. Always staying busy, he enjoyed his gardens, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Lillyt Dale Church of Christ, the American Legion Post #213, the National Rifle Association and was a life time member of the North American Hunting Club. Surviving is his daughter, Debbie Trigg (Rick), Venice, Florida; a sister, Mary Louise Blair, Arizona; grandchildren, Haley Kaufman (Scott), Seth Ward, Kenny Brown (Vel), Stephanie Kalil, Jason Trigg (Kim), Jennifer Breo and Greg Breo (Kim), five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. The American Legion Post #213 will conduct military rites at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until service time at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Fund.
