Division where he was a sharp shooter. He was a member of American Legion Post #213 where he had served in the honor guard. A member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, he was a former reserve deputy with the Perry County Sheriff's Department and was an Air Evac representative. He retired from Warex in Evansville where he was a blaster. Dave loved to talk with and connect with people. He was a devoted grandfather and family man. He was a gun enthusiast and was a certified explosives technician. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Beverly (Hubert) Devillez; daughter, Melissa Devillez (Brian Corbin), Denver, Colorado; son, Chris Devillez (Beth Ann), Huntingburg; grandchildren, Andrew and Lydia Devillez and his devoted dog, Max. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM CDT on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Timothy Sweeney, OSB, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:00 until 9:00 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post #213. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Foundation, P.O. Box 441683, Indianapolis, IN 46244, www.fairhavenfoundation.com, who provides housing for the families of seriously ill patients.
