Troy, Indiana - Greg Glenn, 62, passed away January 4, 2017 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Perry County on February 17, 1954, to the late William "Pooner" and Clara (Bolin) Glenn. A 1972 graduate of Cannelton High School, Greg was united in marriage on March 31, 1978, to the former Patricia "Pat" Terry. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cannelton. Greg worked at Brown's Automotive in Hawesville. He was a former co-owner of H & G Auto Sales and former sexton for the City of Cannelton at New Cliff Cemetery. He currently was owner and operator of G's Detailing. In his high school days, he was very athletic and later played softball in several men's leagues, where he was always known for having a strong arm. He volunteered and coached all of his kids in sports and was coach of the Cannelton Fab Five, a high school girl's basketball team that was inducted in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame for having a successful season and with only five players. Greg was an avid sports fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Reds and I.U. basketball. Greg enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. There are many fond memories camping on Deer Creek and boating on the river on the "Pooner Tooner". Surviving are his wife, Pat Glenn, Troy; children, Brittney Filley (Cory), Santa Claus, Brandi Glenn, Tell City and Brett Glenn, Cannelton; grandchildren, Kelby Glenn and Sophia Filley; brother, Gary Glenn (Etta Jean), Evanston; sister, June Schank (Paul), Magnet. Funeral services will be held at Noon CST, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Pastor Ann Skiba and Sheila Rearden will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM until Noon at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers and food, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Cannelton.
