Tell City, Indiana - Grace Evelyn Paulin, 94, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Cannelton on July 30, 1916. Her parents were the late Peter and Emma (Rodermund) Schneider. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Viola (Schneider) Little and her brothers, William, Edward and Paul Schneider. Evelyn married Albert A. ""Boots"" Paulin on October 28, 1941, in Columbus, Georgia. ""Boots"" retired from the U.S. Army in 1956, after 30 years of service, and they returned to Tell City. They were married for 48 years when he passed away on August 16, 1989. During World War II, she worked for the American Red Cross at Fort Benning, Georgia. A 65 year member of American Legion Post #213 Auxillary, Evelyn was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and William Tell Senior Citizens and a former member of Women of Moose and Can-Tell Home Ec. Club. She enjoyed playing euchre, bridge and bingo, watching western movies, listening to country music, sewing, crotcheting, needlework, basket weaving and dancing. She is survived by several nieces and nephews in the Schneider and Paulin families and by two first cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. There will be a D of I service on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
