Grace Brown

Tell City, Indiana - Grace M. Brown, 95, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Hawesville, Kentucky, on April 8, 1922, daughter of the late Oliver and Mary (Gray) Van Coney. Also preceding her in death was her husband, James Orville Brown; daughter, Janice Kleeman; sisters Martha Butler and Faye Thorn; brothers, Bill, Bob and Miller Van Coney; grandson, Brian Brown and great granddaughter, Alexis, Beaver. Grace retired from Schwab Safe and had worked at Tell City Pretzel. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, making quilts and playing bingo. Surviving is her daughter, Patricia A. "Trish" Brown Vowels (Ben), Evansville; sons, Charles L. "Buck" Brown (Virginia), Tell City, David E. Brown (Shelly), Mount Vernon, Illinois, Randy A. Brown (Tonya), Tell City; sister, Margie Cassidy, Tell City; fourteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Pastor Joe Noble will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
