Gordon Lee Poehlein,Jr.

Derby, Indiana

Gordon Lee Poehlein, Jr., 74, passed away at his home on December 30, 2024. 

He was born on November 9, 1950, to Gordon Lee, Sr. and Birdine (Riat) Poehlein. 

Gordon Lee was a 1969 graduate of Tell City High School and was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W Post #2939 and worked as a heavy equipment operator for IOUE Local 181. 

Gordon Lee enjoyed working on vehicles, spending a day riding his motorcycle or 4-wheeler, jeep rides, attending shooting matches and shooting, hunting, throwing darts and playing pool. He loved the time he shared with his grandchildren and looked forward to bonfires and camping with family and friends. 

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Alvina (Hubert) Poehlein; children, Gordon Lee Poehlein, III and Rebecca Poehlein; siblings, Sheila Roberts, Aaron Poehlein and Leisa Poehlein; grandchildren, Justin, Flint and Nakiyah Poehlein and great grandchildren, Tristin, Dalighla, Bella and Gemma.

Preceding him in death were his parents and infant siblings, David and Owen Dale. 

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM CST on Friday, January 3, 2024, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with visitation from 2:00 PM until service time.
