Gloria Leclere

Tell City, Indiana Gloria M. Leclere, 93, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. She was born April 22, 1928 in Magnet, daughter of the late Andrew and Myrtle (Cassidy) Etienne. Also preceding her in death was an infant sister, Janet Lee Etienne. Gloria was a 1947 graduate of Tell City High School. She was united in marriage on November 9, 1948 at St. Paul Catholic Church to Earl Leclere who survives. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she was an organist for several years. Gloria was a charter member of Daughters of Isabella and also belonged to St. Ann's Sodality and K of C Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Earl Leclere, children; Dr. Joe LeClere (Leanne), Tell City, Bob Leclere (Debbie), Syracuse, NY, Jane Leclere-Doyle (Dr. Jeff), Ithaca, NY, Patty Mills (Michael), Jasper, IN and David Leclere (Ann), West Lafayette, IN; brother, Paul Etienne, Evansville; grandchildren, Lauren, Steven, Kristen, Brett, A.J, Brittany, Lindsay, Sarah and Sam, and 13 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Archbishop Paul Etienne will officiate along with the Revs. Zach and Bernie Etienne concelebrating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at St. Mark Catholic Church. Huber Funeral Home is handling her arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church or a favorite charity. The family requests that masks be worn while visiting at the church.
