Gladys Wasley

Cannelton, IN Gladys Daughtery Wasley, 89, formerly of Cannelton, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. A native of Perry County, she was born in Cannelton on June 11, 1918, daughter of the late Edward and Lucy Sims Daughtery. She was also preceded in death by a son, David. Gladys was a 1936 graduate of Cannelton High School, then lived in Mattoon, Illinois where she retired from General Electric after thirty-five years of employment. Gladys was a member of the Huffman United Methodist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. She enjoyed crocheting. Gladys is survived by two daughters, Ann Aldrich, New Castle, Colorado Jan Mason, Springfield, Missouri One son, John Wasley, Tuscon, Arizona 5 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Cliff Cemetery, Cannelton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, c/o Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton, Indiana where there will be no visitation.
