Hawesville, KY Gladys F. Malone, 78, of Hawesville, Kentucky and formerly of Tell City, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Gladys was born in Hancock County, Kentucky August 12, 1932, daughter of the late Douglas F. Powers and Zula (Buck) Powers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Malone in 1992, two brothers, Harold and Verne Powers, three sisters, Hazel Adkins, Frieda DeVine and Marjorie Keown. A lifelong homemaker, Gladys enjoyed fishing, antique shopping with her sisters and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Tell City Chapter #272. Gladys is survived by her companion, Lamar ""Bo"" Hicks, Hawesville, Kentucky, her daughter, Susie York and her husband Jim, Tell City, two sisters, Mary Doug Nugent, and Carolyn Carter, both of Owensboro, Kentucky, two brothers, Shirley ""Doc"" Powers and Don Powers, both of Owensboro, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Stacey DuPont and Stephen York, five great grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts, Ashley Rudd, Stephanie DuPont, Jessica and Cody York. There are five great great grandchildren, MaKayla and McKenzie Roberts, Christian, Alaina and Dawson Rudd. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 22, 2010 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Rev. Lee Brown will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 until 10:00 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home where an Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Cemetery or First Baptist Church, Tell City, Indiana.
