Gladys Hattenbach

Cannelton, IN Gladys Hattenbach, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born May 13, 1924 in Perry County to the late Will Adams and Ada Allen Adams. Gladys was employed at General Electric, Alvey's Cleaners, Benjamin BiLow, then retired from Cannelton Utilities. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cannelton and VFW Auxiliary. Gladys was outgoing and never met a stranger. She enjoyed the dances at William Tell Senior Citizens, shopping and traveling. Gladys is survived by a daughter, Mary Nell Rhodes, Tell City; sons, Robert Hattenbach, Tell City, David Hattenbach, Tell City and Thomas Hattenbach, Henderson, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kathy Briggeman, Kevin Rhodes and Trey Hattenbach; great grandchildren, Ivy and Jordon Rhodes, Courtney Sabelhaus and Tara Briggeman. There are three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Katie Rhodes; sister, Mary Eva Gaither; brothers, William (Bill), Arthur (Doc) and Charles (Chic) Adams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 25 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Simon Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Cannelton or William Tell Senior Citizens.
