Tell City, Indiana Georgia Ann Poehlein, 74, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health, Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born in Tell City on December 17, 1938, daughter of the late Aloysius "Ish" and Nancy (Barnette) Biever. She was united in marriage May 19, 1956 at St. Paul Catholic Church to Kenneth Poehlein. He passed away February 13, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Becky Knieriem. Georgia was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and Harry G. Myers American Legion Auxiliary. She had also cooked at many area restaurants. Georgia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Ed Poehlein, Tell City, Joe Poehlein (Shannon), Tell City, Janie Poehlein, Cannelton, Kathy Voiles (Eric), Evanston, Fred Poehlein, Tell City and Ted Poehlein, Tuscon, AZ; brothers, John Biever, St. Louis, MO, Bill Biever, Roxboro, NC, Paul Biever, Tell City, Mark Biever, Tobinsport, Steve Biever, Evansville, Carl Biever, Santa Claus; sisters, Margie Roberts, Tell City, Marilyn Mogan, Derby, and Carolyn Schmidt, Jasper; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Friday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
