Tell City, IN Georgia Neifert, 96, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Golden Living Center. She was born in Parsons, Kansas on June 27, 1920, to the late Goebben T. and Georgianna (Nevin) Lundrigan. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Dr. Noel Neifert, in 1981, and a sister, Marguerite Willis. Georgia was a former member of Tell City Book Club, Woman's Travel Club, PCMH Auxiliary and an original member of The String Ensemble in Tell City, where she played the cello. She was the organist/pianist at First United Methodist Church for several years. She had also played at Golden Living Center. Georgia enjoyed crocheting and knitting in her spare time. Georgia earned her master's degree and had worked as a lab technician with Phillips Petoleum and Standard Oil. Surviving are her daughters, Robbie Gayer of Tell City and Heidi Neifert of Evansville; two grandchildren, Clint Gayer (Samantha) and Verlita Miller-Roop (C.R.); three great-grandchildren, Kinleigh, Kyndall and Brian. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CST Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-7:00pm and Thursday Noon-2:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Way of Perry County.
