George Pearl

George Wallace Pearl, Jr., age 68 of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born April 18, 1946 in Louisville, KY the son of George Wallace Sr. & Anna Katherine Tully Pearl. He was a Air Force Vietnam Veteran, a 32 year retiree of the U.S. Postal Service, and umpire for the Kentucky High School Softball Association for 30 years in Louisville. He is survived by his two children, Emily Dulan & Dana Pearl of Louisville, his partner of 25 years, Linda Zweydoff of Leitchfield, one brother, James R. Pearl of Louisville, one sister, Agatha Pearl, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marissa Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday (June 26, 2014) at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Big Clifty with Father Steve Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
