George Ball

Derby, Indiana George H. Ball, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013. He was born March 8, 1938 in Derby, Indiana. George was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Howell) Cassidy and step-father, Bernard L. "Laz" Cassidy, sisters, Marie Sodrel, Fay Ball and Kay James. A 1957 graduate of Tell City High School, George retired in 1993 from J.H. Rudolph. He was in the Army Reserve and National Guard and member of National Rifle Association. George enjoyed shooting weapons, hunting and fishing. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Rick James (Cheryl), Lisa Suchanek (Brian), Angie Galey, Stephanie Henson (Kenny), Michelle James (Brad), Jason James (Elizabeth), Pam Burton (John), Gene Sodrel, Karen Spall, Sherri Negri and Beth Wilson. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
