Genola Snyder

Cannelton, Indiana - Genola C. Snyder, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City. She was born in St. Croix, Indiana, on January 17, 1923. Her parents were the late James Phillip VanHoosier and Glessia (Allen) VanHoosier. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Edward Snyder and several brothers and sisters. A homemaker, she was a member of Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills. She enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to country music and Elvis Presley. Surviving are her daughters, Deb Snyder, Owensboro, Kentucky; Janet Snyder, Austin, Texas; sons, James Snyder (Mary), Cannelton and Lee Allen Snyder (Cindy), Tell City; granddaughter, Annette Mirantes (Luis) and a great grandson, Gabriel Mirantes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Foster's Ridge Cemetery in Uniontown. Kenny Wright will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 :00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cannelton Volunteer Fire Department.
