Gene Hood

Newtonville, Indiana Marion E. "Gene" Hood, 85, passed away on October 19, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, the only child of Marion and Lucille (Nash) Hood. Gene served on numerous town boards and committees in Sullivan County, Indiana, where he once lived. He had worked for Case of Indianapolis, Indiana State Highway Dept. and retired as a building contractor. After retiring, Gene loved to garden and sell produce. Surviving is his companion of 25 years, Donna Hess, Newtonville; three daughters, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gene's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
