Gary Burden

Tell City, Indiana Gary H. Burden, 69, passed away at his home on August 29, 2018. He was born in Evansville, Indiana, on August 14, 1949, son of the late Lilly Mae (Spencer) and Isiah "Ike" Burden. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Jimmy Lee Burden and a son, Jimmy Lee Burden. Gary was a veteran of the Vietnam War and worked construction most of his life as a welder and boilermaker, retiring in 2012. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring cars, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Stroud) Burden, Cannelton; step children, Melissa Taylor, Jasper, Tracey Taylor, Tell City, Stephanie Smith (Jody), Tell City, and David Taylor, Jr., Cannelton; two grandchildren, Drake and Krista Burden; five great grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Noon on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will be at Lamb Cemetery, Tobinsport. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
