Tell City, Indiana Fredia Harlen Siltz, 84, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born September 25, 1927 in Mt. Carmel, IL daughter of the late Samuel and Hazel (Bullington) Sturgeon. Also preceding her in death were her husbands, Kenneth Harlen and Stanley Siltz, daughter, Rita Morton, and brothers Bob and Matthew Sturgeon. Fredia was a cook at Derby Tavern for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of VFW Post #2939 Auxillary, enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughters, Sherry Rhodes (Mark), Leopold and Alice Hall (Roger), Gatchel; sister, Juanita Knieriem, Leopold; grandchildren, Markie Rhodes, Darrell Kellems, Kenny Kellems, Pam Jarboe, Terry Riley, Daniel Durbin, Charles Durbin, one step grandchild, Charla Jo Rogier, nine great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Gilliland Cemetery. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00AM until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
