Freddie Kendall

Cannelton, Indiana Freddie L. Kendall, 91, passed away August 14, 2018. He was born in Cannelton, Indiana May 12, 1927 son of the late Fred and Louise (Fishback) Kendall. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Dorothy (Futterer) Kendall, son, Keith Kendall, siblings, Elmer Kendall, Eva Snider, "Bear" Kendall, Ida Mae Olberding, Lucille Rhodes, Thelma Jean Wolf and Charles Kendall. Freddie was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Scott Elementary School in Evansville, Indiana as a counselor after working 42 years with the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation. Freddie was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, enjoyed going to auctions, watching IU basketball and talking politics. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Kendall, Evansville, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday August 17, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel with burial in New Cliff Cemetery, where there will be military rites conducted by VFW Post 2939. Bro. Larry Sosh will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
