Frank Sabelhaus, Jr.

St. Croix, Indiana Francis Bernard "Frank" Sabelhaus, Jr., 40, passed away May 21, 2020. Frank was born in Tell City, Indiana on May 8, 1980. He was united in marriage on March 13, 2015 to Jessica Hawkins. Frank was presently employed at Best Chairs. He enjoyed camping, baseball, traveling and NASCAR. Since he was a young boy, Frank was fascinated with flying and airplanes and could often be found at airports, watching planes take off and land. He admired his brother, Justin, who is serving in the Navy as a pilot. Surviving is his wife, Jessica Sabelhaus, St. Croix; a daughter, Mackenzie Sabelhaus, St. Croix; mother, Roberta "Bobbie" (Merritt) Sabelhaus (Patrick McKinney), Newtonville; father, Frank Sabelhaus, Sr. (Darlene), Tell City; brothers, Dave Merritt, Hatfield, Justin Sabelhaus, Tell City and John Phillips (Angela), Jasper; grandparents, Linda Ball and Jerry Merritt, both of Tell City and Vernon Mitchell of Grandview and his dogs, Ziva and Kya. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Fred Merritt and Sean Schlachter and grandparents, Harold Ball, Frank Sabelhaus, Sr. and Joyce Mitchell. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00-6:00 PM. Pastor Barry Fields will officiate. According to current COVID-19 restrictions, services will be limited to 100 people, with social distancing rules applied. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Humane Society.
