Francis Moers

Derby, Indiana Francis J. "Tiger" Moers, 85, formerly of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. He was born October 10, 1928, in Evansville, son of the late Joseph and Ruby (LeSeure) Moers. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Eugene Moers. A member of the U.S. Naval reserve, he retired as an electrical inspector for the City of Evansville. Tiger was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Lincoln Hills RC & D Forestry Committee. He enjoyed being on his tractor and being with his dog, Slim. Tiger is survived by a brother, Jim Moers, Miami, Florida and friends who cared for him, Karen Smith, John VanNatta, and Tom Smith all of Tell City, Linda Holder-Beneker (Art), Midland, MI and Laura Fischer (Rick), Bristow. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, where there will be military rites conducted by American Legion Post #213. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter or St. Augustine Catholic Church.
