Frances Allen

Tell City, Indiana Frances M. Allen, 97, formerly of Tell City, passed away January 4, 2019 at Hickory Hill Assisted Living in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 27, 1922 to the late Kelly and Nettie (Dowell) Robbins. Also preceding her death was her husband, Darrel Allen, in 2015; a brother, Mickey Robbins and sisters, Lou Anna Nix, Bonnie Faulkenburg and Virginia Blair. Frances enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving is her daughter, Joann Walker (Hugh), Hendersonville, TN; sisters, Emma Dixon and Alice Wright, Tell City; brothers, Harold "Bobby" Robbins and Charles Robbins, Tell City; grandchildren, Lisa McCreary, Hugh Everett Walker, Jr. and Kristina Wood; great grandchildren, Stacy Alessio, Austin McCreary, Rett and Samantha Walker, Hudson and Hayden Wood; two great- great grandchildren, Allie and Nathan Alessio. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CST Monday, January 6, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
