Floyd Schroeder

Tell City, Indiana Floyd R. Schroeder, 82, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City. Floyd was born in Perry County on July 29, 1931, son of the late Ferd Schroeder and Frances Popp Schroeder. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Bryant in 2013. Floyd was a life long Perry County farmer. He was united in marriage on February 15, 1958 to the former Jean Young, who survives. He served in the United States Army in Korea. He enjoyed Colts football and hunting. Floyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean (Young), one daughter, Brenda Schroeder, at home, three sisters, Anna Schraner, Derby, Bertha Lindauer and Roberta Krieg, both of Tell City. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery. Elder Earl W. Miller will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery.
