Florence Young

Cannelton, Indiana Florence J. Young, 78, passed away on July 9, 2020 at her home in Cannelton. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on September 20, 1941 to the late Michael and Ann (Patrick) Beedy. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jim Beedy and sister, Rose Teska. Florence was united in marriage in Whittemore, Michigan on May 20, 2005 to John C. "Jack" Young, who survives. She had worked as a nursing home aide. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, going to the casino and watching mysteries on T.V. Surviving is her husband, Jack Young, Cannelton; her children, Debbie Gray (Tim), Greenfield, Joann Wiedoff (Allen), Flint, MI and Karen King (John), Montross, MI; a brother, Mike Beedy (Judy), Sault Ste. Marie, MI; sister, Ann Wilkins (Paul), Leopold and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be no services. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Humane Society.
