Branchville, Indiana Evelyn Parr, 89, passed away at 3:40 AM Wednesday August 22, 2007 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Evelyn was born September 22, 1917 in Branchville the daughter of the late Theodore and Ida Belle (Saalman) Carr. She married Elijah Leon Parr September 18, 1937 in Cannelton, Indiana. He passed away in 1974. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Inice Walters and Mabel Sprinkle and two brothers, Edwin and Edgar Carr. Evelyn attended Oil Township High School and had been a cook at Perry Central Schools before retiring from the U.S. Forestry Service in 2000 after 20 years. She was a member of Community Christian Church in Tell City. She is survived by her children: Ruth Moser and her husband James, New Albany, Indiana Marilyn Reed and her husband Harry, Branchville, Indiana Diana Fritz, Floyds Knobs, Indiana Roger Parr and his wife Sandy, Bandon, Indiana Darlene Miles and her husband Keith, Floyds Knobs, Indiana Donna Ledlow and her husband Terry, New Salisbury, Indiana Marvin Parr and his wife Shelly, Georgetown, Indiana Twenty grandchildren: Candy Crone, Kim Perry, Kevin Moser, Michael Reed, Brian Reed, Melissa Walters, John Fritz, Amy Linton, Timmy Parr, Michelle Ashabraner, Eric Leon Parr, Matthew Leon Parr, Traci Reister, Carrie Reister, Stacy Ledlow, Jacqulyn Hogan, T.J. Ledlow, Wendy Parr, Travis Parr, Jessica Franken 24 great grandchildren 1 great great grandson Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday August 25, 2007 at Community Christian Church. Pastor Milton Pledger will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Branchville. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 until 10:30 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home 1139 12th Street Tell City.
