Tell City, Indiana Evelyn Hammack, 82, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Tell City. Evelyn was born December 15, 1926, in Winslow, Indiana, daughter of the late Frank Bolin and Malinda Jarboe Bolin. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hammack in 1978, one daughter in infancy, two brothers, Earl and Russell Bolin and a sister Geneva Burst. Evelyn was a 1946 graduate of Troy High School and was employed at General Electric in Tell City until retirement. She was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #2939. She enjoyed boating, camping, sewing and crafts. Evelyn is survived by: Three daughters, Donna DuPont and her husband, Jim, Elberfeld, Indiana Kathy Glenn and her husband, Harold, Cannelton, Indiana Michelle Lautner and her husband, Kevin, Elberfeld, Indiana Two sisters, Ruby Hess, Ft. Collins, Colorado Faye Schroeder, Henryville, Indiana Three brothers, Paul Bolin, Redding, California Richard Bolin, Ft. Collins, Colorado Frank Bolin, Cannelton, Indiana Eleven grandchildren, Aimee Gerth, Jason DuPont, Sarah Deal, Ann Dauby, Karri Wheeler, Kelli Wilgus, Kristi Meunier, Mathew Glenn, Molly, Kyle and Keenan Lautner Eleven great grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with burial in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton, Indiana. Rev. Barnabas Gillespie, OSB will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and 9:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home, where a VFW memorial service will be held at 5:00 Monday. Memorials contributions may be made to the Perry County Community Foundation or the Golden Living Activity Fund.
