Evelyn Goffinet

Leopold, Indiana Evelyn ""Peanut"" Goffinet, 84, passed away Monday, February 9, 2004 at The Waters of Huntingburg. Evelyn was born March 9, 1919 in Leopold, Indiana the daughter of the late Emmett Goffinet and Ellen (LeMaire) Goffinet. Also preceding her in death was her twin sister, Olivia Hubert, a sister Hazel Howe, and a brother Leo Goffinet. She retired in 1974 from General Electric in Tell City after 23 years. A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold, she enjoyed birds and animals. Survived by nieces and nephews: Norman Hubert, Tell City, Indiana Imogene Bockhold, Leopold, Indiana Velma Pund, Leopold, Indiana Denny Howe, Leopold, Indiana Bob Goffinet, Tell City, Indiana Jean Thomas, Tell City, Indiana Bill Goffinet, Tell City, Indiana Carroll Goffinet, Branchville, Indiana Joe Goffinet, Tell City, Indiana Funeral services will be 10:00 AM EST Thursday February 12, 2004 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Sean Hoppe OSB will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana where there will be a prayer service at 7:45PM Wednesday.
