Eva Mae Powell, 100, passed away March 14, 2021. She was born June 26, 1920 in Cannelton, daughter of the late Andy and Nancy (Bolin) Bolin. Also preceding her in death were her husband Clarence Powell and brother Clarence Bolin. Eva Mae was a homemaker most of her life, working at the former Cotton Mill during WWII. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and its Women's Guild, taught Sunday school and volunteered with vacation bible school. Eva Mae liked tending to her garden and flowers, reading books, crocheting and enjoyed watching NASCAR with her sons. She is survived by her children, Diana Rutledge, Orlando, Florida, Joe Powell, Tell City and David Powell (Cathy), Cannelton; brother, Richard Bolin, St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dana Rutledge, Doug Rutledge-Horton (John) and Bailey Powell, one great grandchild, Lexii Horton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Pastor Nathan Rusert will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM on Wednesday. Masks are to be worn while visiting the funeral home and social distancing is to be practiced. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
