Eva Hinton

Tell City, IN Eva J. Hinton, 86, passed away on March 11, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 31, 1936 to Mary Magdalene (Wind) and Raymond Sampson Jones. A homemaker, Eva took pride in keeping an immaculate home for her family. She enjoyed canning, quilting, taking drives and hosting family gathering. Surviving are her children, Danny Jarvis (Yvette), Huntington, Ed Jarvis (Patty), Terlton, OK, Rita Jarvis Dickman (Barry), West Lafayette and Tressie Jarvis James (Ralph Harding), Tell City; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were parents; her husbands, Bill Jarvis and Charlie Hinton; a grandson, Logan James; brothers, Charles and Chester Jones; and sisters, Violet and Hazel Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Elder Tom Hopper will officiate. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Cemetery.
