Etta Rearden

Tell City, Indiana - Etta Myrl Rearden, 89, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Whitesville, Kentucky on April 7, 1925. Her parents were the late George and Mabel (Stites) Fulkerson. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Linda Sue Voyles; son, Jimmy Voyles; sister, Viola Voyles and brothers, George and Roy Lee Fulkerson. Etta Myrl married Earl Rearden on June 7, 1952, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was employed at General Electric for over 32 years. Etta Myrl was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed flowers, her dog, Cricket and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband, Earl Rearden, Jr., Tell City; daughters, LaVonn Gail Rearden (Tom Harris), Cannelton and Linda K. Terry (Ralph), Cannelton; son, Michael Voyles, Tell City; sisters, Nina McBrayer, Lexington, Kentucky and Mary Helen Voyles, Tell City; grandchildren, Kim Dickie, Brandon Rust and Mandy Huff and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Deer Creek Baptist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 until 10:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Baptist Church.
