Tell City, Indiana - Ethel M. Duke, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Tell City on January 7, 1935. Her parents were the late Kirby and Christina (Layman) Riley. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Laura King; brothers, Charles, Eugene and Paul Riley, a brother, in infancy, and a grandson, Chad Embry. Ethel was united in marriage on January 4, 1953, in Tell City, to Eugene Duke. They were married for 61 years. She retired from General Electric in 1995, after 27 years of service. Ethel enjoyed sewing, cooking, listening to country music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Eugene Duke; children, Larry Duke (Kathy), Susie Abney (Lewis) and Dorothy Davis (Rick); sisters, Regina Hempfling and Dora Senn; brothers, Dennis and Donald Riley; grandchildren, Jim Whalen, Shannon Blankenship, Gary Davis, Penny Damin and Jasmine Board and great grandchildren, Alex, Kennedy, Chloe, Emma Ethan, Maeson, Andi, Shelby, Maggie, Hayley, Gracie, Chase and Seth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time on Tuesday. Pastor Arlie Brock will officiate. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.huberfuneralhome.net
