Estill Preston

Hawesville, Kentucky Estill W. "Buck" Preston, 77, formerly of Perry County, IN, passed away February 16, 2016 at Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. He was born August 3, 1938 in Pleasureville, KY, son of the late Bruce and Mae (Masterson) Preston. Also preceding him in death was a son, Mark Preston in 2002. Buck was united in marriage September 6, 1957 in New Albany, IN to Carolyn Decker, who survives. A self -employed farmer, Buck was a deacon and member of Hancock Christian Church in Hawesville, KY. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and tinkering with lawn mowers. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Preston; daughters, Karen Zuckschwerdt, Tell City, IN, Anita Batie, Tell City, IN, and Marita Hendershot, Hawesville, KY; sons, Steve Preston, Troy, IN, Wayne Preston, Cannelton, IN, and Chad Preston, Hawesville, KY; 6 sisters and 3 brothers, all of Henry County, KY; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services are 1:00 PM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Roger Jarboe will officiate. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Christian Church or the family.
