Ericka Dowell

Hawesville, Kentucky - Ericka G. Thompson Dowell, 35, passed away March 27, 2017, along with her son, Jacob Wagner, from injuries as a result of a car accident. She was born in Owensboro, October 24, 1981 daughter of David A. Thompson, Jr. and Anna (Goatley) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her son, Jacob A. "Jake" Wagner, sister, Jill James and grandparents, Raymond and Maxine (Jackson) Goatley and David A. Thompson, Sr. and Thelma (Kieser) Thompson. Ericka was united in marriage to Scotty Dowell, who survives. She had worked for Glenn's Cleaning Service and attended Mount Zion Community Church. Ericka enjoyed singing, fishing, yard sales, 4 wheeler riding and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband; Scotty Dowell; parents, David A. Thompson, Jr. (Cindy), Cannelton and Anna Thompson, Hawesville, Ky; step children, Alex Dowell, Caleb Mattingly, Brayden Dowell, and Darrion Dowell; sister, Misty Jones (Marty), Tell City; brother, David Thompson, Hawesville; nieces, Hanna and A.J.; grandfather-in-law, Charles Taul, Sr. Funeral services for Ericka and her son, Jake, will be at 11:00 AM CST Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Bro. Larry Sosh and Pastor Tony Kimbril will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
