Eric Voiles

Evanston, Indiana Eric W. Voiles, 62, passed away December 2, 2020 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born January 1, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky. Eric was a 1976 graduate of Tell City High School and was united in marriage to Kathy Poehlein on March 6, 1982. He retired as a security guard with Night Hawk Security and had worked at Abbey Press, for over 25 years, and later at the Perry County News. Eric enjoyed fishing, going out on the river, camping, NASCAR, UK basketball and football, and spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Brownie. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Voiles; his parents, Paul and Geneva (DeWitt) Voiles, Tell City; sons, Paul Voiles (Jessie Howell, Garett and Audrey), Tell City and Kenny Voiles (Michelle Duncan), Evanston; grandson, Trent Duncan; sister, JoAnn Blackstock (Charles), Louisville, Kentucky; brothers and sister in law, Ed, Joe, Janie, Fred and Ted Poehlein and several nieces and nephews. Eric is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Voiles and his father and mother in law, Kenny and Georgia (Biever) Poehlein. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. John Smitson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
