Cannelton, Indiana Emmanuel Lamar Stallings, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at his home. He was born in Water Flo, New Mexico November 3, 1933 son of the late Emmanuel and Artie (Adams) Stallings. Also preceding him in death were his son-in-law, Dr. Luther L. Roberts, granddaughter, Melissa Scott,sisters, Mary Stallings, Dorothy Wilhelmus Stallings, Louise Higginbotham and brothers, Anthony, Vernon and Gerald Stallings. Lamar was a 1951 graduate of Rockport High School. He was married June 24, 1965 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Donna Faye Coultas who survives. Lamar retired from Kimball International and was a member of Knights of Columbus # 1172 , Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1424 and St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing pool and bowling. He was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Stallings; son, Kevin Stallings and his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Trena Standard and her companion, John Herman; Cheryl Bennett and her husband, Robert all of Phillipsburg, NJ; Linda Simpson and her husband, Charles, Tell City and Cindy Hafele-Roberts, Newburgh; sisters, Martha Adkins and Mary Bayes both of Reo, Imogene Underhill, Evansville; sixteen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 21, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be a K of C memorial service at 6:00 PM and a Moose memorial service at 6:15 PM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church and American Heart Association.
