Tell City, Indiana Emma Dixon, 92, passed away on August 18, 2021 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky on July 27, 1929, daughter of the late Kelly and Nettie (Dowell) Robbins. In the early 1960's, Emma and her husband, Norman, started Dixon & Dixon Auction Service. She was the first woman in the state of Indiana to be licensed in auctioneering. Her life was the auction business as she enjoyed going to flea markets and collected pottery. Surviving are her children Rodney Jordan (Susan), Veda Knable (Dannny), Darla Jordan and Scott Dixon (Heidi), all of Tell City; a sister, Alice Wright (Jim), Tell City; brothers, Harold Robbins and Charles Robbins, both of Tell City and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Norman Dixon; step children, Jeffrey and Becky Dixon; a brother, Mickey Robbins and sisters, Virginia Blair, Frances Allen, Bonnie Faulkenburg and Louanna Nix. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Brian Adkins will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery, Cannelton. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
