Tell City, Indiana - Emelie M. Lippert, 93, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mascoutah, Illinois, on April 18, 1918. Her parents were the late John and Lizzie (Pleitner) Lippert. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Rev. Henry Lippert and Edward Lippert. Emelie retired in 1983 after 44 years of service with the former Contel Telephone. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Verizon Pioneers, St. John's United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Illinois and VFW Auxiliary #7682 also in Mascoutah. Surviving are her nieces, Margie Lippert, Renton, Washington and Mary Aders, Tell City; a nephew, Paul Lippert, Louisville, Kentucky. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Mascoutah City Cemetery, in Mascoutah, Illinios. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, will be handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ.
