Tell City, Indiana - Elva June Dickman, 83, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on February 25, 1939 to John Alva and Verna Lawalin Snider. Elva was a member of the last graduating class of Troy High School. She retired from McDonalds in Tell City, where her co-workers lovingly called her "Grandma". She would always greet you with a smile and she had a welcoming personality that will be missed. Elva was a member of the Tell City Church of Christ and she enjoyed flower gardening, working puzzles and spending time with her family. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Bob Dickman, Tell City; children, Cheryl Brinksneader, Terri Bryant (Larry), Tell City, Kimberly Clayton (Joe), Corydon and Rob Dickman (Paula), McCordsville; grandchildren, Ryan and Jayce Brinksneader, Katie Marsh, Jacob "J.D." Bryant, Amber Wilbur, Austin and Jarrod Clayton and several great grandchildren along with her step-sister Eileen Talbott. Preceding her in death were her parents, John Alva Lawalin and Verna Snider; step father, Noah Snider; a sister, Joann Doughty; brothers, Robert Eugene, Denny and her twin, Alva Lawalin; step siblings Verlee Moseby, Walter Snider, Robert Snider, Wilma Jones, Zelma Fuchs, and Eva Wittman, as well as son-in-law, Steve Brinksneader. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Tell City Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00-7:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Tell City Church of Christ.
