Elsie Kleeman

Troy, Indiana Elsie O. Kleeman, 85, passed away at 8:11 PM Tuesday January 23, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. Elsie was born August 23, 1921 in New Boston, Indiana daughter of the late John and Anna (Foerster) Leistner. She married Paul F. Kleeman May 10, 1941 in Tell City. Paul passed away in 2005. Also preceding her in death was a son Paul G. Kleeman, a son in infancy Phillip Ambrose Kleeman, three sisters, Eleanor Sprague, Olivia Lambeck, and Viola Fletcher, and a brother, Erwin Leistner. A member of St. John Chrysostom Church in New Boston, Elsie retired in 1983 from General Electric in Tell City after 31 years. She enjoyed seek and search puzzles, watching afternoon serials, camping, and quilting with her sister. She was especially fond of her dog Chuckles. She is survived by: Her daughter, Geraldine Ferguson and her husband Randy, Evanston, Indiana Her brother, Earl W. Leistner and his wife Olivia, New Boston, Indiana Two grandchildren: Tonya Van Hoosier and Ryan Ferguson Two step great grandchildren: Haley and Zachary Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 26, 2007 at Huber Funeral Home 1139 12th Street Tell City with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Tell City. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
