Derby, Indiana - Elsie Lee Hargis, 76, passed away on Thursday, May 03, 2012, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Tell City on August 31, 1935. Her parents were the late Harold Pannett and Mildred (Banks) Rickerd. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Ed and Dave Pannett and her husband, Darrell Scott Hargis. Elsie retired from General Electric and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed birds, going on vacations and visiting with friends and family. Surviving are her sons, Albert Williams (Julia), Manchester, Kentucky and Mark Williams (Jane), Troy; sister, Mary Ann Stilwell; brothers, Charles ""Bill"" Pannett, Michigan, Jim Pannett, Tell City, Raymond Pannett, Cannelton and Jerry Pannett, Evansville; grandchildren, J.R., Shawn, Chadwick and Blake Williams, Emma and Sara Hagedorn, Amanda Collins and Taylor Hornsby; great grandchildren, Alexis, Noah and Madalyn; mother-in-law, Essie Lee Hargis; and brothers in law, Steve Hargis (Charlene) and Jim Hargis (Sheila). Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lower Cummings Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until service time. Elder Earl Wayne Miller will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cummings Cemetery.
