Elmer Ward

Tell City, Indiana Elmer J. Ward, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 8, 1931 in Leopold, son of the late Clyde and Pearl (Sprinkle) Ward. Also preceding him in death was his wife Betty Sue (Hoover) Ward in 2001, grandson, Scott Joseph Ward and brothers, Floyd and Danny Ward. A U.S. Army veteran, Elmer retired from C & S, Inc. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his son Perry Ward (Debbie), Evansville, sister, Hazel Voges (Cletus) and brother Ralph Ward (Mary Agnes), both of Tell City, granddaughter, Kara McDonald (Kevin), and great grandson, William Scott McDonald. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday. There will be military rites by America Legion Post #213. Memorial donations may be made to Perry County Memorial Hospital.
