Ella Lassiter

Tell City, Indiana Ella Mae Lassiter, 80, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 20, 1932, near Millstone. Her parents were the late James and Blanche (Wilson) Nugent. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Darlene Lechner, sister, Dorothy Ann Thomas; brothers, Marlin, James "Booge" Newgent, and sister in infancy, Beulah Nugent. Ella Mae was a cook at General Electric, Hoosier Heights County Club and Snappy Grill. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing, mushroom hunting and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by daughter,; Debbie Wilgus, Tell City; sons, James "Doodie" Claycomb, Salvisa, KY, Carl "Bud" Claycomb, Mountain Home, Idaho, Brian Wilgus, Tell City and John Roggio-Wilgus, Long Island NY; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Widow's Barrel Food Pantry.
