Tell City, Indiana Elizabeth "Liz" Simpson, 91, passed away May 14, 2018 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on April 17, 1927, daughter of the late Roscoe Frakes and Clara (Trenary) Frakes. Preceding her in death was her husband, John E. Simpson; sons, Gary E. Simpson and Jerry Simpson; daughter, Bonnie Simpson; great-grandson, Jacob A. "Jake" Wagner; sisters, Alice Leolin Beck, Edith Marchal, Maureen Briggeman, Cecil Algood, Mildred Bell, Leslie McPhearson and Alberta Puckett; and a half brother, Edward Schraner. Elizabeth had worked at General Electric,for over 40 years retiring in 1987. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching and reading her Bible. Surviving are her daughters, Vicky A. Weedman and Jenny L. Brunner (John), all of Tell City; eleven grandchildren, Holly Simpson, Cannelton, Jeff (Tracie) Simpson, Woodlands, TX, Brian (Shannon) Simpson, Hoschton, GA, Niki (Scott) Davis, Evansville, Jason (Kelly) Wagner and Steven Weedman, all of Owensboro, KY, Shannon (Andrew) Strack, Beth Page, TN, Melissa (Shawn Arnold) Simpson, Georgetown, IN, Kelli (Zach) Harding, Jeremy (Ashley) Wagner and Andy Brunner, all of Tell City; three step grandchildren, John (Tammi) Brunner, French Lick, Sunshine Whistle and Eva Brunner, Tell City; sixteen great-grandchildren, Morgan, Zane, A.J., Peyton, Bo, Nolan, Kamden, Katie, Melissa, Tyler, Timmy, Jase, Ellis, Hank, Hailey, Kathryn and Kelsey; five step great-grandchildren, Travis, Zach, Lyndy, Lucy and Madison; and five great-great-grandchildren, Weston, Paige, Garrett, Delaney and Adalyn . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Friday, May 18, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Chaplain Ben Hartwig will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jake Wagner Memorial Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th St., Tell City, IN 47586.
