Elizabeth Layman

Cannelton, Indiana, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Layman, 82, formerly of Perry County, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Beatrice, Nebraska. Betty was born in Tell City on February 23, 1930, daughter of the late James Henry II and Edna (Bowman) Layman. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Gene Patmore, brothers, Alfred Harold, John Wesley, James W., Elbert Edward and Merle Edward Layman, sister, Nettie Harroff and a sister in infancy. Elizabeth had been an employee of Kuntry Cleaning Service and had worked as a waitress for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Patmore, Beatrice, Nebraska, Danny Patmore, Dallas, Texas, Billy Patmore, Fort Worth, Texas, Ty Patmore, Harrisonville, Missouri; brothers, Henry Cletus Layman, Three Oaks, Michigan and Tony Layman, Beatrice, Nebraska; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and two foster grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, November 5, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation is from10:00 until 12:00 on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
