Elda Kessans

Tell City, Indiana - Elda Kessans, 76, passed away at 3:50 PM on Friday, April 2, 2010, at Golden Living Center, in Tell City. She was born in Perry County on April 16, 1933. Her parents were the late Walter and Rachel (McCallister) Poehlein. She married Bernard ""Bud"" Kessans on April 20, 1990, in Tell City. He preceded her in death in 1997. Elda was an insurance agent with United Insurance until 1994. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars #2939 Auxiliary. Surviving: Step Son - Randy Kessans, Merritt Island, Florida Brother - Allen Poehlein, Cannelton 2 Step Grandchildren 2 Step Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a VFW Post #2939 Auxiliary Service at 6:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
