Tell City, Indiana Edward V. "Ed" Paulin, 89, passed away on February 6, 2021 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 6, 1931 to Joseph and Gertrude (Birchler) Paulin. Ed was a 1949 graduate of Cannelton High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Jane Schaefer on August 29, 1953 at the old St. Paul Church. Ed received his Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky in 1954. He and his wife, Jane, owned and operated Werner's Drug Store, retiring in 1996. He had also worked at Snyder Drugs, formerly in Cannelton, Harold's Drugs, formerly in Owensboro and Schreiber's Drug Store, formerly in Tell City. Ed was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post #213 and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing tennis and cards, but Ed most enjoyed being a family man, enjoying summers with family camping and taking picnics. Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Jane Paulin, Tell City; children, Christine Beeler (Mark), Spartanburg, SC, Beth Roberts (John), Tell City, Theresa Lipps (John), Cincinnati, OH and Kevin Paulin (Kim), Batavia, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diane Cowling and siblings, Marietta Ress, Jeannette Whidden, Art Paulin, Joe Paulin, Bernard "Toodles" Paulin, Charlie Paulin and Donnie Paulin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Tony Hollowell will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00-10:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, Parkinson's Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research While visiting the funeral home or church, a mask is to worn and social distancing is expected.
