Edward Howell

Cannelton, Indiana - Edward F. "Ed" Howell, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Signature Healthcare in Newburgh. He was born in Dexter, Indiana, on February 21, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents Alvia and Cecelia (Cassidy) Howell; his wife, Alma (Bryant) Howell; a brother, James Howell and a grandson, Carl Howell. Ed worked, for over thirty years, at the former Can-Tex Industries and retired from Malone Brothers where he was a truck driver. He was a former 20 year member of Cannelton Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed reading and fishing. Surviving are his children, Ed Howell, Cannelton, John Howell, Richland and Dottie Howell, Cannelton; sisters Lois Burton, Derby and Mary Belle Kempf, Cannelton and Catherine Williams, Tell City; brothers, Clyde Howell, Tell City and Jerry Howell, Cannelton; a granddaughter and two great grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral services at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Cannelton Volunteer Fire Department.
