Edna Mae "Pat" Eger, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in St. Meinrad, Indiana on June 17, 1931, daughter of Frank and Regina (Neu) Brockman. Pat attended Dale High School and was united in marriage on November 10, 1956, at St. Meinrad Archabbey, to David J. Eger, who preceded her in death in 1998. A homemaker, Pat was devoted to taking care of her family. She would answer outage calls during storms for Southern Indiana Rural Electric Cooperative (where her husband retired as General Manager). She would make hot meals for the linemen that were working after hours during those outages. In her earlier years, she had worked at General Electric. Pat enjoyed dancing of any kind, taking car rides, playing euchre and board games and visiting with family and friends. Formerly of Tell City, Pat was currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Tell City, St. Peter the Apostle Church, Naples, FL and attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church while living in Charlotte. Surviving are her daughters, Kyla Jones (Wally), Tell City and Stacie Howard (John), Charlotte, NC; granddaughters, Michelle Kieser (Nathan), Carin Starcevic (Nick), Kelli Morrison (Garry) and Paige Howard and great grandchildren, Jonathan Kieser, Howard and Rhodes Starcevic, Brecken and Callan Morrison. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and siblings, Merwyn Brockman, Renola Nord Cecil, Mary Jane Brockman and James Brockman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Tony Hollowell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 until 10:30 AM on Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
