Edith Stowe

Cannelton, Indiana Edith Stowe, 75, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Edith was born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky on June 10, 1934, daughter of the late Hobart and Louise (Roberts) Tindle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stowe in 1993, a son Barry L. Stowe, sisters, Violet Goodson, Rose Hurder, Shirley McDaniel, Ethel Faulkenburg, a brother, James Tindle and her grandson, Barry Lee Stowe, Jr. Edith retired from General Electric in Tell City after thirty-six years of employment. She attended Calvary Missionary Church and enjoyed bingo, euchre and spending time with her grandchildren. Edith is survived by a daughter, Joyce Cooper of Cannelton, three brothers, Elbert Tindle, Kenny and Donnie Tindall, all of Cloverport, Kentucky. She has four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Stowe, Edie M. Powers, Melissa A. Hurm and Brandy Lee Ann Briggeman. There are four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Bro. Tim Mattingly will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and 9:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made Calvary Missionary Church.
