Edith Adams

Tell City, Indiana Edith S. Adams, 83, passed away February 20, 2014 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 26, 1930, daughter of the late Oscar and Alice (Loesch) Suddarth. Edith was a 1948 graduate of Cannelton High School and attended Indiana University and Evansville College. Edith was united in marriage to Thomas F. Adams on February 12, 1949 in Evansville. She was a member of the Gilead Baptist Church located in Tobinsport. Edith was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #272. She played cards in several bridge and euchre clubs and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas F. Adams; a son, Dan Adams (Donna), Uniontown; daughters, Mary Alice Nichols (Ronald), Sullivan and Annetta Jones (John), Valparaiso; grandchildren, Isabel and Danielle Adams, Nikki Nichols, Sloan and Dax Jones. Funeral services will be at 12:30 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport. Pastor Ann Skiba will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday and from 10:00 AM until service time on Sunday. There will be an Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service at 6:45 PM on Saturday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Tobinsport Cemetery Association.
